Software as a Service (SaaS), in which software solutions are hosted by the vendor, as opposed to being installed on-premises, are becoming increasingly popular software licensing solutions in the call center industry.

The solutions include applications such as customer relationship management, integrated voice recognition, workforce management, and automatic call dialing.

The advantages of software as a license are that you only pay for what you use (times the number of seats), thus lowering the upfront costs; no peripheral equipment, such as a dedicated server, is required; and the solutions tend to be highly scalable.
